Masterclass Terms & Conditions

Thank you for registering for a masterclass hosted by The Bass Dept. To ensure a smooth, professional environment for both our guest instructors and clinicians, please review our policy carefully before completing your payment:

1. Payment & Non-refundability

  • Once payment is successfully received, all fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable to other general retail products.

  • If a participant fails to attend the session for personal reasons, the tuition fee will be forfeited in full.

2. No Scheduling Changes

  • Once the masterclass date, time, and performance slot are confirmed, no changes, rescheduling, or time-slot swaps can be made under any circumstances. Please check your schedule carefully before booking.

3. Sick Leave Policy

  • Proof Required: If you are unable to attend due to illness, you must submit a valid Medical Certificate (sick leave paper) issued by a registered medical practitioner prior to the start of the masterclass.

  • Arrangements: Upon receiving a valid medical certificate, we will do our best to arrange alternative accommodations (e.g., allocating a different time slot if available, or shifting you to an auditor seat). Without a valid medical document, no refund, alternative arrangement, or credit will be provided.

4. Emergency Leave Policy

  • Definition & Proof: Emergency leave is strictly limited to unpredictable crises, such as an immediate family member being admitted to the hospital or a sudden traffic/personal accident. Valid official proof (e.g., hospital admission forms, accident reports) must be submitted for verification.

  • The Bass Dept. reserves the ultimate right to define and approve emergency criteria before any further arrangements can be discussed.

5. Additional Key Clauses

  • Tardiness: The masterclass will start strictly on time. If a participant is late, their performance slot will not be extended, and the masterclass will conclude at the scheduled end time.

  • Seat Transfer (Substitution): If you cannot make it and do not qualify for medical/emergency leave, you may transfer your masterclass slot to another eligible player. You must notify us with the replacement player's details at least 24 hours before the event.

  • Cancellation by Host/Instructor: In the rare event that the masterclass is cancelled by us due to instructor illness, severe weather (e.g., Typhoon Signal No. 8 or Black Rainstorm), or unforeseen circumstances, a full refund or a rescheduled date will be promptly provided.

*The organiser reserves all rights to make the final decision regarding the event, schedule, and discount terms.
